VIRGINIA "GINNY" Y. KENNEDY
Ginny Kennedy began practicing law in 2006, but she discovered her passion for the law some eighteen years earlier when she began working as a litigation paralegal. In 2003, she endeavored to further her passion by pursuing a law degree. Ginny's practice has focused on civil litigation and she has handled a broad spectrum of litigated matters, including insurance defense, personal injury, construction litigation, commercial disputes, and contract disputes. She has also handled wrongful termination, disability insurance and casualty insurance claims, banking disputes, and securities arbitrations. Ginny has appeared before all levels of courts in nearly every county in Mississippi, from circuit court to justice court to chancery court, as well as the appellate courts and federal courts. She has also handled matters in mediation, arbitration, and administrative hearings. Ginny revels in probing the unique facts and sifting through the details of each case. She works tirelessly and enthusiastically to provide her clients with solid representation and individualized attention to each matter.
Ginny studied at the University of Mississippi from 1982-1984, and graduated with honors from Millsaps College, in Jackson, Mississippi, in 2002. She earned her juris doctorate from Mississippi College School of Law, in Jackson, in 2006 (magna cum laude). While at Mississippi College School of Law, Ginny served on the Law Review as Senior Articles Editor. Ginny joined the Mississippi Bar in 2006 and was admitted to practice in all state and federal courts in Mississippi, as well as the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
A native of Louisville, Mississippi, Ginny has lived in Texas, California, and Alabama. She is the mother of two daughters, Kaitlin (24) and Mallory (22).
